Flikr Assignment; lj5

    Some of the readings I understand more because I was of the old day and age of Polaroid and Kodak myself where the only way that you could get any pictures in a digital format you had to scan them. To be honest I found the videos on Instagram interesting but I still most likely will not use it. Years ago, I would always post things on Facebook and other social media outlets. I had tried to use Pinterest at one point, but then could never get into it because it became overwhelming with all the different arts and craft stuff. I come from an artsy family so when I would see different stuff, I would want to try to make it myself or better. To be honest this is all new to me because I barely use Facebook myself. The original purpose of taking this class was to branch out and try to learn some other avenues for social networking. As a photographer I found the Flikr assignment interesting because I like to be able to create a gallery out there where I can feature different photos that I have taken. I did have a problem getting the link to place it on the blog page. The Instagram Stories seem sort of the same as what Facebook does when you can post different short videos or postings to share with people that disappear after a certain time. One thing I find about Instagram is another way that people can use to be able to keep track of someone. I feel that sometimes people also use these sites to create a false reality of their lives to impress others and hide who they really are. I remember when Tumblr started and was supposed to be a  route in order to share pictures and Ideas, but then became a route to spread pornographic material and was shut down later.
